Friday NITE Friends is a respite care program in Plano, Texas serving medically fragile and special needs children and their families. This unique non-profit was founded in 1992, when Custer Road United Methodist Church created an urgently needed medical respite for families in need. 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of this very successful ministry.
Friday NITE Friends is FREE and open to medically fragile and special needs children as well as their siblings, giving parents a welcome night off. The program is available to anyone through application (see application links to the right). We have medical staff on-site, along with church and community volunteers, working to make each Friday evening a safe, fun and rewarding experience for all participants.
